@EnableWebSecurity is used for spring security java configuration.

Add this annotation with @configuration on top of your security java class that extends WebSecurityConfigurerAdapter .

Override the configure(WebSecurity web) & configure(HttpSecurity http) .

@EnableWebSecurity
public class SecurityConfig {

    @Bean
    public SecurityFilterChain web(HttpSecurity http) throws Exception {
        JwtAuthenticationConverter jwtAuthenticationConverter = new JwtAuthenticationConverter();
        jwtAuthenticationConverter.setJwtGrantedAuthoritiesConverter(new KeycloakRoleConverter());

        http.authorizeRequests(authorize -> authorize.antMatchers("/sayHello").hasRole("ACCOUNTS")
